How important is the alumni network in selecting the MBA program

Prestigious Business schools have a large alumni network. MBA graduates can join the networks and benefit from events, various online and offline networking opportunities, support and mentoring. An alumni network can also be a “door opener” for the more junior members.

Should you consider the alumni network when selecting your MBA?

Some alumni networks are only mainly active in one country or region. Business Schools outside the USA and Britain may have only a very small to sometimes non-existant alumni network.  

Prestigious Business Schools such as Harvard, Stanford and INSEAD have very large and also very active alumni networks.
