Requirements for English language tests vary and applicants should check with their university or higher education institution at the time of applying.
If a student requires a visa there may also be additional English language requirements by the home office or immigration department.
Students from countries where the main language is English and where they received their education at an institution where English is the language of teaching are usually exempt from taking an English language test.
Universities in non English speaking countries who offer courses in a subject where the language of instruction is English also require the English language test. There are a range of options to learn English online with several organisations offering free online courses.
Other entry requirements for an MBA or other master degree are usually a relevant bachelor degree, good references and work experience in some cases for a master degree program.
For a doctorate or PhD program a master degree is the minimum requirement.
Most universities accept applications from students from any country.
