MBA Retail in the Banking and Financial Industry
Alma Graduate School
Università di Bologna

The MBA Retail in the Banking and Financial Industry is a challenging, intensive 12-month full-time international program taught entirely in English.
The MBA Retail in the Banking and Financial Industry, promoted by UniCredit and Alma Graduate School/University of Bologna, is designed to enhance management knowledge and skills, setting solid foundations for a career in the banking and the financial industry. The program offers a unique opportunity to blend theory with experience and provides students with a high quality mix of analytical and problem-solving skills required to succeed in the retail sector.
The curriculum of the MBA Retail in the Banking and Financial Industry is divided into two main parts: General Management (MBA core courses) and a Retail in the Banking and Financial Industry concentration aim at presenting the tools enabling the understanding of financial markets and financial instruments, as well as enrich participants with the expertise needed in the field of the retail industry and financial organizations.
Other program features are: internships, career development activities, and Business English classes. Intensive Italian lessons are offered free of charge to international participants who wish to improve their language skills during their stay in Italy. Italian classes are scheduled in September, prior to the beginning of the MBA activities.
Internship and CareerCreating employability is one of the primary goals of the MBA Retail in the Banking and Financial Industry program. Therefore, interaction between theory and practice is an essential part of the curriculum: master lectures, testimonials, and analysis of business cases will take place throughout the year and will go side by side the core academic courses.
The program also includes a 500-hour internship scheduled in the last period of the program (June - September). The internship will take place at the UniCredit Retail Division in the countries where the Group is present. The internship represents an opportunity for MBA participants to analyze real company problems, develop strategies, and elaborate action plans together with upper level managers.
Corporate contacts established during the year, together with the internship experience, will give MBA participants a considerable competitive edge over the ever present competition. Outstanding graduates from the UniCredit MBA will also have the chance to be considered for placement in managerial positions within the UniCredit Group.
Alma's partners have been involved in our academic activities over the years in many different ways: participating in project workshops, master lectures, and testimonials, offering scholarships, hosting our student internships, or employing our alumni.
